In Nepal there is different type of festivels. Festivels are very important in our life. We need a break and fun in our monotonous life to make it happy and to strength our family bonds. Some of the festivels are given below
Dashain
It is also called Vijaya Dashami, Dashera, or Bada Dashain. It is celebrated during the month of september\october. We celebrates this festivels for 10 days during which we worship Durga, the Goddess of power. The first day of Dashain is Ghatasthapana. The seventh day is known as Phulpate. The eighth and ninth days are known as Maha Ashtami and Maha Nawami. These two days are the days of Sacrificing various animals to please Goddess Durga. The tenth day is known as Bijaya Dashaimi. On this day the junior members of the family receive Tika and blessing from the elders. Those away from home come back to their families to celebrate and to receive blessing from the elders.
